Olympians Aifric Keogh and Marcus Lawlor spoke at the PE Xpo where 1,000 students from all over Ireland showcased their projects
Dare to Believe in conjunction with permanent tsb were thrilled to sponsor the overall winning prize for the PE Xpo at this year’s event at DCU. The PE Xpo is a national primary & secondary school competition exhibiting PE projects from students of all ages. In addition to prizes, two of Ireland’s Olympians, Olympic medallist Aifric Keogh and Olympic sprinter Marcus Lawlor attended the event, met students and learned about their projects, spoke on a panelist event in front of the entire audience of students and challenged students and teachers on the rowing machine and other fun activities. Their presence was well recieved and the athletes thoroughly enjoyed the event. Paralympic sprinter Orla Comerford also attended and enjoyed meeting the students and seeing their projects.
We are already looking forward to next year’s event that will only get bigger and better. Congratulations to Patrick O’Reilly and all the PE Xpo team on such a super event!
