ROWING
Eimear was born in Dublin in 1997. She has always enjoyed sport, and had played a wide variety of sports growing up- although, self proclaimed, was not very good at any of them! At the age of 12 Eimear joined her local rowing club and soon made her first national debut 2 years later at the Junior Europeans. At UCD she studied International Commerce with German spending a year studying in Regensburg, Germany. In 2019 she won Ireland’s first female U23 World Championship medal, and continued on to win a silver and bronze European medal in 2020 and 2021. She competed at her first Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 where, alongside her teammates, she won Ireland’s first ever Olympic Medal in openweight Rowing.
